On Thursday 20 October the Bolton Family History Society had a private tour of Victoria Hall.
More than 25 members attended the event where they explored the buildings from the top to the bottom.
The evening started with a short talk about the modern workings of the Bolton Methodist Mission, The Victoria Hall by Patricia Harper and Revd. Linda Barriball.
They were then split up into smaller groups with our experienced tour guides. Each group saw the Hall in a new light and for many, the first time.
At the end of the evening the Family History Society enjoyed cups of tea and coffee and a pleasant chat with the Victoria Hall staff and volunteers.
Brain Whittle, Chair of the Bolton Family History Society said that “All our members really enjoyed the tour around your wonderful old building.”
“It was fascinating to see the work you have done and still to do on all the Historical documents and artefacts in your building.”
