The Victoria Hall has many rooms and can be used for a variety of functions from concerts to conferences to presentation evenings to recitals to festivals. No matter how large your event is we can host up to 1,250 people at Victoria Hall.

The Victoria Hall is the largest venue built in the 19th Century in the style of a concert or theatre style with excellent acoustics and has a capacity for 1,250 people. This is an excellent venue to concerts, conferences, presentation evenings, theatre and dance productions and much more.

Video Conference and presentation facilities are available upon request.



The Ancillary Rooms

As well as the Victoria Hall we also have smaller rooms in the Walker Building for small events or break out rooms.

The Walker Hall


From £80

The Walker suite has a capacity of up to 150 people. It is ideal to hold meetings, seminars, training days as well as parties and rehearsal space with it’s small stage at the back of the room.

Cafe and Kitchen

The Cafe and Kitchen are fully equipt for any event from coffee mornings to hosting a formal dinner.

The Cafe has a comfortable capacity of 30, however if more room is needed the Kitchen is adjacent to the Walker Suite.






Coffee Bar Lounge


From £80

The Coffee Bar Lounge is one of our smaller rooms with a capacity of up to 50 people. With a fully equipped kitchen this room is perfect for coffee mornings, meetings and seminars.






Disabled Access

We have disabled access and toilet facilities to the ground floor level.

Please note: The Victoria Hall and associated rooms are part of a Methodist Mission Hall and are therefore not available for hire on Sundays. A no smoking, no alcohol policy applies to the whole of the building.
