On Tuesday 9 May, the Victoria Hall’s stage was transformed into a theatre for Yugpurush.
Yugurush Mahatma Na Mahatam is a play inspired by the untold story of two legends in Indian History Mahatma Ghandi and his spiritual mentor Shrimad Rajchandranji.
The play is being performed across the world in four languages Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada and Marathi. Here in Bolton it was performed in Hindi and there were about 400 people from all over the North West came to watch the moving and inspiring play.
Yugurush, has touched over 400,000 people in over 150 cities, completed 450 show with a further 200 to go!
Annabelle Luce, business development officer said: “It was great to the Victoria Hall being used for more than the usual concerts. Tonight, we saw how the use of the space that we have can be transformed and bring more people together. I do hope that Yugurush comes back in English so I can enjoy is as much as those who speak Hindi.”
